Mr. Bergeson then spent the next three years playing basketball for and attending Utah State University where he received his Bachelors and Masters degrees in Special Education. In 1982\, Mr. Bergeson began his education career at Preston High School in Preston\, Idaho. After 4 years in Preston\, he spent the next 15 years teaching and serving in administrative positions in Cody and Lyman\, Wyoming. He also served from 1998 to 2001 as a member of the Board of Directors for the Wyoming High School Activities Association. He was then lured by warmer temperatures to Washington County and served as principal at Hurricane Middle School for 6 years and as principal of Dixie High School for 6 years. He also served from 2010-2013 on the Utah High School Activities Association Executive Committee. \n\nIn 2013\, he was selected by Washington County Board of Education as the Superintendent of Schools where he currently serves.
