DESCRIPTION:Ash Wednesday Services Grace Episcopal Church located at 1072 East 900 South in St George will hold two Ash Wednesday Services. The times are 10:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. Ash Wednesday\, the beginning of the Lenten Season\, falls on March 1st this year. This day gets its name from the burning of palm branches used at last year's Palm Sunday service. The ashes are placed on the forehead of penitents as a sign of our mortality and penitence. The ashes remind me that my faith is sometimes like Palm Sunday's moist palm branches. They quickly became dry and brittle. Note: There will be no Noon Mass that day in the chapel.
