The 23rd chapter in the New Testament of the Christian Bible is where the apostle Matthew gives us the famous account of the Christmas Star. Could this story of a star seen at the time of Christ’s birth be an astronomical event? On Wednesday, November 29, Ron Smith will present a program often shown at major planetariums across the country. Professor Smith will examine the Star of Bethlehem description found in the Book of Matthew, and then see if a supernova, a comet, a fireball meteor, or a grouping of planets might account for this remarkable event. Enjoy learning some biblical history, some facts about our calendar, and a bit of astronomy in a Christmas themed program. Ron Smith is a very popular speaker. We sold out his last lecture. Seating is limited so get yours now! Let the Kayenta Arts Foundation be part of your Holiday celebration. Doors will open at 6:30. The program begins promptly at 7:00. *No one will be admitted after the presentation begins
